Andrea McEwan

Andrea McEwan (Lee Lucas) was born on the 9th of October 1978. She played the character of Lee Lucas in season one of Ocean Girl.

Early Life and Career[]

Andrea attended the MacRobertson Girls High School in Melbourne before she began to pursue acting. She appeared on the soap opera Neighbours several times, the first appearance was in 1989. She earned herself a nomination for the Gladys Moncrieff Award for "Outstanding New Talent" for her starring role in the Whitehorse Musical Theatre's production of Annie in 1991. Andrea also starred as Young Jenny in 'Aspects of Love' at the Theatre Royal in Sidney from 1992 to 1993. In 1994 she earned the role of Lee Lucas.

Life After Ocean Girl[]

After leaving Ocean Girl when season one ended Andrea continued to appear on both stage and screen. She returned to Neighbours numerous times, guested on Blue Heelers and several other television shows and she also had roles in stage productions of "The Sign of the Seahorse", "Serial Killers" and starred as Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet". In 2000 Andrea graduated from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Arts with a Bachelor's Degree in dramatic arts. She moved to the UK following her NIDA graduation and in 2006 she turned her passion for singing into a career and was signed to a record label. She's written songs with Katie Melua. In 2009 Andrea's debut album "Rental Property" was released. She moved to Berlin where she continues to pursue her musical career.
